The FTTH blocks what's wrong

Question : The user 8M home broadband, access 3 computers, test normal speed, but when the users watch video it will block picture every 1 minutes, have tested several video, the software has this phenomenon, especially in the evening, excluding computer problems. What's wrong on it?

Answer : 1 To observe the video directly in the PON on the export carton, excluding PON equipment problems.

Routing settings of HG8245

The HG8245 with routing function, but the default does not open. There are many routing settings online, but Huawei OLT they are not comprehensive enough, below is the summary.

1 wire connection light cat, first dial.

4 find "network", "set", with the word "INTERNET_B_VID_" to delete the connection name,then the new, "enable WAN connection" to open, "connection type" select "routing","service list" choose "INTERNET", "enable VLAN to open," "get IP" selection "PPPOE",then input the telecommunication to your home broadband account name and password,"binding" to opening. At present, only the lack of a VLAN ID.

5 VLAN ID.

"Start" - "run", type "cmd":

Enter "telnet 192.168.1.1" (see photo cat behind the post code),

Input "root",

Input "admin",

Enter "get port config PortId 1", the value is the portvid= VLAN ID, PortPri= 802.1p(numerical is the basic original default can, mainly VLAN ID)

6 Then input VLAN ID value, and save it.

As a network terminal, the ONT is deployed at the GPON access layer and connects the home users users to the Internet through the optical upstream port.

Figure 1 shows the position of the ONT on a network.

In the upstream direction, the Huawei OLT  is connected to the optical splitter and the networkside OLT through the passive optical network (PON) port, namely the OPTICAL port, to provide the integrated access service.

In the downstream direction, the ONT is connected to various terminals through the abundant LAN-side ports, implementing the triple play service.

3 Wi-Fi, which can be connected to a Wi-Fi terminal through wireless connection to provide a secure and reliable high-speed wireless network.

Each ONT allows up 6 wireless connections.

4 USB port, which can be connected to a USB storage device to provide convenient home network attached storage and file sharing services.

5 CATV port, which can be connected to a TV set to provide the quality CATV service transmission.

OPTICAL: Indicates the optical port. The optical port is equipped with a rubber plug and is connected to an optical fiber for upstream transmission. The type of the optical connector connected to the OPTICAL port is SC/APC.

LAN1-LAN4: Indicate auto-sensing 10/100/1000M Base-T Ethernet ports (RJ-45), used for connecting to PCs or IP STBs.

TEL1-TEL2: Indicate VoIP telephone ports (RJ-11), used for connecting to the ports on telephone sets.

ON/OFF: Indicates the power-on/power-off button, used for powering on or powering off the device.

RESET:  Indicates the reset button. Press the button for a short time to reset the device; press the button for a long time (longer than 10s) to restore the device to the default settings and reset the device.

How to Set the Port of the SCUB/SCUN as the Upstream Port

Question:

Both Huawei SCUB and Huawei SCUN have four GE optical ports, which can function as upstream ports. How to set the GE optical port of the control board (SCUB/SCUN) as upstream ports when upstream transmission is not implemented by the GIU board?

Answer:

Switching to the upstream port of the SCUB is controlled by the electronic switch. At a time, only the upstream port of the GIU board or the port of the control board can be used for upstream transmission.

Note: In the case of the SCUB, make sure that the current configuration of the system is already saved before running the electro-switch command. After this command is run, the system will be reset.

A To set the port of the control board as the upstream port, run the electro-switch 0

location-0 command.

B To set the port of the GIU board as the upstream port, run the electro-switch 0

location-1 command.

C The SCUN can work with the Huawei EPON GIU upstream board. In this case, the SCUN equals an

upstream board in another GIU slot.

The common problem of HG8245

Port Forwarding to DVR - STC Huawei HG8245

The DVR's local IP is 192.168.100.9 , configured for port 8080.

I setup Port Mapping:

- Protocol : TCP/UDP

- External Start Port: 8080

- External end port: 8080

- Internal start port: 8080

- Internal end port: 8080

- Internal host: 192.168.100.9

I also enabled DMZ to host 192.168.100.9

When I access the DVR locally, it works perfectly (http://192.168.100.9:8080/)

When I tried to access through the internet, it doesn't work (37.105.175.xxx:8080/).

I double checked that my IP Address is correct from different websites, including yours. It's also the IP that shows in the router. Also, I tested the port on your website and it said "8080 is online and can be reached."

Solution:

I just tried connecting to your internet IP you posted under and it does work bud :-)

The thing to remember is most home routers dont support reverse nat.

So that means when your on the same network as the DVR you have to use the local IP. When outside your network, like I am is when you use the internet IP.
